It's all about power

Ah, the fully formed memes that show up in meditation.

“It’s all about power. Manipulation is the means by which you make happen what you want to have happen. Values are how you choose what to choose.”

That’s what being human is about, to me.

It’s a philosophical POV, to be sure. 

And it’s a philosophical POV that suits me.

Nothing negative about it.

It’s all quite neutral. 

It’s all very mechanical.

As a human being, you’re going to be making choices. 

Not only the direct choices that you can make or not make in this moment.

But what you see to be “valid choices about”. 

Your values about your values, “Why these are right and proper values to have.”

To have the results that you want to have, that takes power.

Power is about seeing the “possibility of change”, “how to make the change happen”, and “making the change happen”.

Manipulation is a combination of “what elements to effect and how” and “the flavor of the making it happen”. 

Seems pretty simple.

And, don’t forget, making something happen on the inside is still making something happen. 

It’s still the application of values, power, and manipulation.
